About David H Segal

A neurosurgeon focused on brain and spine conditions, David H. Segal, MD, most recently guided Eastern Iowa Brain and Spine Surgery in Cedar Rapids. Emphasizing minimally invasive surgical approaches to spine trauma, David H. Segal, MD, performed emergency room operations, and undertook clinic and hospital consultations.

Dr. Segal’s responsibilities extended to serving on the Mercy/St Luke’s Trauma Committee and he presented in settings such as the Linn County Chiropractic Society and the Mercy Medical Center Cancer Forum. He even earned distinction as Contributor of the Year with the Brain Injury Association of Iowa in 2011.

Earning his doctor of medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, Dr. Segal graduated summa cum laude in the early 1990s. He subsequently pursued residency training at the Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Department of Neurosurgery and served as chief resident from 1996 to 1997. Currently focused on law, Dr. Segal recently completed a juris doctor with distinction at the University of Iowa College of Law.
